College Scholarship
The John T. Hill Scholarship Legacy Foundation (JTHSLF) is a tuition based program available to high-achieving college seniors with financial need who seek to graduate and contribute to the future of the community. The students, the Board of Directors, and the Board of Trustees having a shared commitment to excellence and innovation forms the foundation of our partnership, and we are confident that our combined efforts will yield remarkable results.
Scholarship Criteria
The John T. Hill Scholarship Legacy Foundation is open to college seniors who maintain a 3.0 GPA in any field of study and demonstrate financial need. Our objective is to provide tuition to deserving students to alleviate further financial burdens. Qualified applicants will submit an online application for committee review.
Eligibility Requirements
Financial need will be verified by the institution’s financial aid office based on the FAFSA application completed.
To retain this scholarship, the student will be required to maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout their senior year of college. The total amount of tuition will be communicated to the foundation by the financial aid department at the institution. These funds will be disbursed directly to the financial aid department.
The Foundation reviews each application individually with the following criteria used in the selection process:
There are no costs or fees associated with applying for a JTHSLF scholarship.
Funds for each scholarship awarded will be paid directly to the college or institution. No checks will be paid to individuals.
Scholarship funds shall be applied exclusively toward tuition expenses only (no fees) and shall be awarded only after all other forms of financial aid—including grants, institutional scholarships, and external awards—have been exhausted. Loans, whether federal or private, shall not be considered in the calculation of remaining need.
